Three bread recipes

Pizan birdie cornbread
submitted by Janice Liverman

Sift muffin mix, corn meal, and sea salt together. Microwave sweet potato until soft and partially cool. Slice sweet potato and banana and add. Place eggs in blender, blend, and add. Use a food processor for the vegetables, then add. Add formula if desired. Add buttermilk and water if needed, mix all, and bake at 375o for about 45 minutes in a baking pan that has 1/4" bird seeds in it to prevent sticking.

This is an excellent food to use especially prior to breeding through weaning.

Mix ingredients in a large bowl. Add water as necessary to make the mix the consistency of cornbread batter. Pour into two, large, greased, baking pans. Bake at 425o for 20 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Freezes well.

Mix corn meal, whole--wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix milk, eggs, cod--liver oil, and peanut butter with a mixer. Add milk mixture to cornmeal mixture and stir only enough to mix. Add to greased baking pan or muffin pan until half full. Preheat oven to 450o and bake about 25 minutes or until brown for baking pan, 15 to 20 minutes for muffins.
